My work currently explores landmarks, memory and archaeology, focusing on remembered landscapes both personal and cultural. I am interested in the development of land use and the way that natural boundaries and man-made structures form and order the landscape. I am concerned with the fragile relationship between the natural and manmade world, in particular the processes by which we attempt to define and control our environment. My artwork has been informed by my experience in archaeology.
